"Amazing full gatefold cover, inside and out fully illustrated by the incomparable David Paul Seymour

Wo Fat bring you more psychedelic stoner doom goodness. Known world-wide for the density of their amazing riffs, thick swamp, boogie, texas blues, THC-fueled mind-bending jams. There first album for Ripple Music and it's everything you love about Wo Fat

Please be aware, the song Riffborn is a CD exclusive bonus track, and not available on the vinyl version of the album.

""Wo Fat have always held a special place in my heart with their obese riffs, destructive rhythms and slow plodding sense of sonic annihilation. They are one of those bands who have always managed to come off as 'heavier than thou' and the chunkier it gets the easier it is to fall in love. While yes, Midnight Cometh does have improvisational passages that get a bit masturbatory in many ways that only adds to the stoned rock and roll charm that Wo Fat so proudly use in order to cultivate a distinct sound and aesthetic.

The inherent jam magic of Midnight Cometh is powerful because it invokes a sort of live magic that you don't often get on wax. While yeah - I would like to see some more concise stuff out of the Wo Fat camp the fact that they can harness your attention for six tracks of rippling magic only helps to prove that Midnight Cometh is a rock and roll record that you can come back to. Wo Fat have always been a very jam friendly band and this record is merely the culmination of that. The point is to get lost, to find hope in the waves of volume and to fall in love with a soundworld that is still in love with the pentatonic scale.

There is a certain darkness here too that only adds to Wo Fat's majesty. The sense of antediluvian terror is subtly communicated here, Midnight Cometh plods on with a bone crushing torment, every step a hammer to the face, every second another blow is dealt. Listening to the crash of the cymbals and the slow, inexorable rush of Wo Fat is way too much fun. These guys know how to riff and they can do it for days. Letting it wash over you and wind its way into your heart shows that from here on out it's only going to get better."" -- Two Guys Metal Reviews"
